e2e Wireless™ Communication

e2e Wireless™ Communication is an exciting and revolutionary new technology from Siemens that is currently making headway as the future platform for hearing aids. This particular technology was created to take full advantage of wearing two hearing aids. By synchronizing the signal processing of both hearing aids, it allows them to work in tandem rather than independently.

The e2e Wireless™ Communication technology ensures that both hearing aids switch between directional microphone and omni-directional microphone modes simultaneously and automatically. By sensing the listening environment, e2e Wireless™ also synchronizes the volume level, listening program, and noise reduction of the two hearing aids, creating a seamless and comfortable transition between sound environments. Synchronization of these features allows hearing aids with e2e Wireless™ to provide precise localization of sounds, so that the wearer knows exactly where sounds are coming from.

Hearing aids that utilize e2e Wireless™ technology automatically adjust so that the wearer hears as clearly as possible in various environments. "Open Ear" Hearing Aid Technology

"Open ear" hearing aid technology is one of the newest developments and a revolutionary breakthrough in regard to the comfort and discreetness of hearing aids. Hearing aids using "open ear" technology allow the wearer to reduce and even completely avoid the "occlusion effect," or the feeling of the ears being plugged that causes the wearer to hear their own voice as if their head was in a barrel. "Open ear" hearing aids also prevent over-amplification of low frequencies, which is especially important for wearers who have experienced high frequency hearing loss.

By using a small, soft, and highly-vented ear bud that rests in the ear canal rather than acting as an ear plug, "open ear" hearing aids allow for a more natural sound of the wearer’s own voice. This small, discreet, and comfortable ear bud is ideal for wearers who are especially sensitive to the feeling of something in the ear. A fine, clear tube runs from the behind-the-ear device that matches hair or skin color to the ear bud and ideally sits flush against the ear, making it virtually unnoticeable. With open ear technology, the typical complaints about comfort and cosmetic appearance can be eliminated while providing extra features that enhance the hearing experience.

What’s the Word on INTUIS™?

When a new product comes on the market, many people like to hear what others are saying about it. At Siemens, we recently conducted surveys with customers who have ordered and fit the new INTUIS™ hearing instruments.

The results of the survey are excellent. Both professionals and wearers are very satisfied with INTUIS.

An overwhelming majority, 92 percent, of professionals have an overall favorable opinion
And, 96 percent of their patients report an overall favorable opinion
Nearly 100 percent of professionals and their customers believe INTUIS is a good value for the price
A majority reported that INTUIS was better than other entry level digital products they had tried recently
